Rosement Wrestling Team

The Rosement Wrestling Team Mission
The Rosemont Wrestling team is in an economically challenged area and the program serves 40-50 young kids each year.
The mission of the Rosemont Wrestling team is to develop and mold young men and women into adults through a comprehensive school athletics program. The Rosemont Wrestling team defined our core values as work ethics, competitiveness, mental toughness, desire for improvement, while maintaining a positive attitude and being coachable. Rosemont Wrestling grows leaders by giving our kids responsibilities and holding them accountable to produce results.
Rosemont Wrestlers learn to lead through 3 core tenants: Be Caring, Be Courageous, Be Consistent.
Be Caring
Great captains have an undeniable passion for the sport, for competing, and for their teammates.
Be Courageous
Courageous: Captains are willing to step up. As a courageous captain, you must “walk the talk” and you cannot be afraid to compete in the worst of situations. Courageous captains set the example for the rest of the team.
Your actions must embody the core values of the team, especially during times of adversity.
Be Consistent
Effective captains need to be the model of consistency. To be a consistent captain you need to hold yourself to a standard of giving 100% effort in every practice and match. You cannot cut corners and earn the respect from teammates and coaches that are necessary to lead the team effectively.
From Daniel Ramsey
My journey with Rosemont began in 2015 when a friend challenged me to give of my time and talent and not just my treasure. This team has brought so much joy to my life and it’s such an honor to be on the journey with them since 2015.
