Radical Generosity in Action: The Story of the MOD Movement
At the heart of every thriving community is a simple yet powerful force: generosity. For Whitney and Daniel Ramsey, the founders of MyOutDesk and MOD Movement, that force has blossomed into a global mission of compassion, hope, and transformation. What began as a single day of giving in 2013 has grown into a movement that has impacted thousands of lives—and continues to grow with your help.

From One Day to a Decade of Impact
The MOD Movement was born when Whitney and Daniel brought food to children and elders at the Boytown Orphanage in Manila, a government-run home for abandoned orphans and elderly people. That day sparked something greater. Over the past 10+ years, the MOD Movement has:
- Served over 4,000 meals
- Provided housing for more than 600 people
- Built multiple structures at Boytown, including:
- Two homes for children with special needs
- Three homes for the elderly
- A fully remodeled foundling home for infants and toddlers (ages 0–5), including working showers, a functioning kitchen, fans, and beds
These projects go far beyond temporary aid—they offer dignity, safety, and long-term support to those who need it most.
Building a Better Future, One Project at a Time
Each initiative reflects the MOD Movement’s core belief in long-term, high-impact giving. For example, a single home built for 50 children creates a safe, stable environment that will support young lives for decades. It’s not just shelter—it’s a foundation for growth, education, and possibility.
The movement also stretches beyond the Philippines. In 2023, MOD partnered with How Group Charities to build a home for a family in Philadelphia, and in 2024, they worked with Give Power to bring solar energy to a remote Filipino village—providing light and power to communities that had lived without it for generations.
Partnering for Purpose
MOD Movement aligns with a variety of organizations to expand its reach and deepen its impact, including:
- One Life Fully Lived
- Camp Green Leaf
- Sacramento Kindness Campaign
- Blue Heart
In addition, the movement provides athletic scholarships and awards to youth in underserved communities in Sacramento and around the world—empowering them to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential.
